Signed Edition limited to 100 copies, of which this is numbered 72. Signed by most contributors, see list below. Conceptual art zine format, assemblage of 24+ individual original art pieces. I have a very large collection of books spanning many topics.
A massive gathering of Philip K Dick titles and editions, as well as fine press, signed limited editions, modern firsts, radical movement and conceptual art items. I encourage you to browse my store and categories for a wide range of unique, quality offering. Condition : This is new as delivered. I did handle in order to take photos and verify signatures, but this is NEW. Zine is preserved in an acid-free archival bag.
Offering : An incredible assemblage of original conceptual art and visual poetry pieces in the form of letterpress broadsides, mini comics, collage, chapbooks, photographs, esoterica, drawings, gocco, found objects (buttons, ads, business cards, dingbats, etc), contributed by artists, writers, poets, photographers and other creatives. Each issue is individually bagged, with a letter-pressed folding flap with a list of contributors, and giving the limitation as well. Most inserts/inclusions are signed or initialed by the contributor. This includes a nice fold out piece that has excerpts from 2 Charles Bukowski works. As part of submission, each contributor receives an issue, plus a small qty that likely gets archived, which means the actual publicly available issues from this limitation is likely closer to 70 or 75.Of the 24 contributors, NEARLY ALL are signed. 2 are stamped instead of signed, 1 is not signed at all, 1 is a sealed piece (assuming the Faigenbaum piece and signed inside package), and 1 I couldn't quite decipher. I've tried to confirm as best I can.
24 contributors is 24 pieces PLUS 2 pieces that Johnny simply included as part of the Zine being the Bagazine pin as well as a Bill Graham Presents mini-flyer for David Bowie performing at Winterland. Jim Camp (Bukowski piece) (stamped).
Johnny Brewton of the legendary X-Ray Book Company, is famous for his gathering and offering of rare and limited pieces of conceptual art and poetry. Graphic designer, letterpress master and conceptual artist, he is also architect and founding member of the collage gang The Kut-UuPs. Kut-UuP is an international art movement laid out to promote the disfiguration and beautification of the mundane through collage technique. I will happily answer any further questions. To be up front, if and when you make an offer, I will automatically reject crazy low "give it away" offers. Best not to waste our time. With a more reasonable offer, I will review current pricing for other comparable items out there and either accept, counter or decline submitted offer. If in that review, I find my pricing is already LOW and outdated, I may then increase the price to bring more in line with other offerings.
I spend a lot of time sourcing the best offerings, preparing the listings with images and clear descriptions, and price fairly in MOST cases. I remain grateful to all who consider my offerings, and I look forward to serving your needs respectfully and with success.
I've packed books securely for 3 decades and will take great care with your order. This is not something in my control, nor do I handle that in any way. Thank you for considering this offering!
