An amazing collection of Kenneth Patchen's work. Four paperbacks published by New Directions and two installments of City Lights Pocket Poet's series (3 and 13). The collection spans the late 1950s to the early 1970s. Included in many of the books are what Patchen called his "picture poems, " dynamic artwork that enhanced his words. Patchen was a muse to the beat generation and a strong influence on other writers like Henry Miller.
This collection is a great sampling of his work in his most prolific years. Pocket Poets number 13 has some staining that looks like shelf wear. All the others are in very good to near fine condition.
