Original paper cover with some watermarks, inside plates in good condition, minor flaws. This is a collection of woodcuts created by Szabo Bela after Dante Alighieri's "The Divine Comedy".
Each plate represents a scene from the journey to Hell, Paradise or Purgatory. On the corner of the plate you can see the monogram and the year of creation. The Divine Comedy describes Dante's journey through Hell (Inferno), Purgatory (Purgatorio), and Paradise (Paradiso) guided first by the Roman epic poet Virgil and then by Beatrice, the subject of his love.
