Select ephemera from past issues of X-Ray. Edition limited to 100 bags, of which this is numbered 74. Design and letterpress by Johnny Brewton. Poetry, art, visual poetry, found objects, pieces by various artists. This is an assemblage collection of right about 30 pieces.

I have a very large collection of books spanning many topics. A massive gathering of Philip K Dick titles and editions, as well as fine press, signed limited editions, modern firsts, radical movement and conceptual art items. I encourage you to browse my store and categories for a wide range of unique, quality offering. Spare Parts gathers many publisher extras from the first run of 8 issues of the zine put out by X-Ray. These 8 issues were put out between 1993 and 2001, and this assemblage follows shortly after.

These extras are the UNSIGNED AND UNNUMBERED but still original pieces. Each zine originally would come with submitted pieces contributed by various artists, and they would sign and number as part of the original issue limitation.

These extras were the extras in case of need, and were brilliantly put into a THEN new limited edition precursor to the X-Ray Bagazine. Spare Parts was originally released as a GRAB BAG. You were assured of receiving the Brautigan chapbook and a special Bukowski Be Cool Fool chabook, but everything else was unknown until you received your bag.

100 different bags, 100 different selections. I went ahead and demystified the unknown HERE by opening for photos, and was floored by what I found. So many amazing pieces, and the Bukowski items alone were a surprise.

The list below "condition" will show HIGHLIGHTS of what's in here, and the photos will give a better visual. Again, I'm leaving this entirely intact and offering it at a price much less than if you were to go out looking for the individual items. For size perspective, the largest piece in this measures approx 14in by 8.5in (closed). The Three More by Bukowski booklet (closed) is near this measurement. I would say that the paper and letterpress materials are all suitable for framing. Johnny Brewton of the legendary X-Ray Book Company, is famous for his gathering and offering of rare and limited pieces of conceptual art and poetry. Graphic designer, letterpress master and conceptual artist, he is also architect and founding member of the collage gang The Kut-UuPs. Kut-UuP is an international art movement laid out to promote the disfiguration and beautification of the mundane through collage technique. Condition : This is NEW and UNUSED. I've opened to inspect for contents, condition and etc, and then repacked. This is an assemblage of various conceptual art pieces, letterpress broadsides, dingbats, chapbooks, found objects and other oddities.
