Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam translation by Edward Fitzgerald and Illustrated by Fish (Anne Harriet Fish). Very Good condition, binding firm/square, hinges throughout are intact but weak.

Titles on spine are still bright unlike some editions that have fading. Wear along board edges and corners. One of the most beautiful books I have ever picked up. Published in 1922 in London this edition is one of the most beautifully illustrated by Annie Fish a British cartoonist.

Her plates are a great example of the Art Deco influences of the 20s. There are 20 color plates with gilt and silver and each with tissue guards. This one still has orange bookmark but it is separated at top of spine.

There is a leaf that has been placed inside of book a common practice especially with large quarto editions. One of the most beautiful books I have encountered.
