A beautifully designed and produced book by Patti Smith with 18 tipped in plates of photographs by Robert Mapplethorpe. Photographs are sepia toned in color. Patti Smith was Mapplethorpe's long time friend and muse and is a renown artist in her own rite. A rare pristine/fine copy of this limited 1st edition book. This book has been stored in a climate controlled room with no light other than a ceiling light when I occasionally enter the room.
