Leaking light through its wounds? Adrift under sorrow's moon? After grief has stayed too long. Is it hollow, a cavern echoing loss.

Or a bruised and silent song? Does it wear its scars like medals. Proof of battles fought in vain? Or does it grow tender with time.

Learning to love through pain? After the highs and lows of life.

A patchwork quilt of moments. Stitched with joy and strife?

Does it hold the gold of laughter. Even as it bears the weight. Of every tear, every goodbye. Every slam of a closing gate?

Through the scars, the cracks, the stains. You'll see it still beats, still yearns. Still dares to love again.
