Large Victorian era scrapbook album started in 1888 filled with vintage art, poetry clippings. This large (12x9x2 inches) scrapbook was originally a catalog from the Dayton Manufacturing Co. Many original pages are not covered and include Every Description of Car Furnishings: Switch & Car Locks, Railroad Lamps, Locomotive Headlights, Fine Brass and Bronze Goods, Etc. Some pages feature oil lamp Car Chandeliers and cabinet hardware.
The inscription at the front says Tempest Stievs, Los Angleses, 1888. The scrapbook is full of newspaper poetry clippings approx. 50 pages, full page mostly full color art reproductions from magazines approx. 48, and original catalog pages approx.
40, with the remainder of the appox. 170 pages blank (2 blank pages are covered in cursive script, a page of poetry and an essay on English Kings, both shown in photos).
Some of the art is labeled from Cosak & Co. Buffalo, NY, and the Gast Art Lith. One is from Photo Colortype Co.
