Review of performance by the BAND Babe Ruth. Far out vintage ads and reviews. Library in stamp to the front cover, but nothing else to indicate this was in a library. No pockets, no stripping of anything, no xlib, telltale flaws. This is the vintage, real deal. This issue is in GOOD condition. There is a minor chip to the lower right corner of the front cover, NOT interfering with the cover art, SEE IMAGE. The pages are LIGHTLY yellowed/toned as can be common with newspaper print papers and the passage of 45+ years (this is IMO actually faring BETTER than papers that haven't aged well).
There are some folded corners and some creasing, and MAY be some SHORT edge tearing, but not excessive, and nothing long. Preserved in an acid-free archival bag. The International Times is an Underground Press paper that ran from roughly 1966 into 1973, in its initial iteration.Filled with articles, cartoons, ads and original contributions, the IT was a critical Expression of the Sixties, Radical Movement and Counterculture. Allen Ginsberg, William Burroughs, Germaine Greer, Jeff Nuttall, Kenneth Grant, John Peele are but some of the contributors to appear within the pages of IT. Something of a turbulent relationship with the Law, International Times was forcefully shut down in 1973.
Other publishers took the IT name and published under it a few different times in the years following 1973, and currently it has surfaced once again as an on-line magazine. I will happily answer any further questions. To be up front, if and when you make an offer, I will automatically reject crazy low "give it away" offers. Best not to waste our time. With a more reasonable offer, I will review current pricing for other comparable items out there and either accept, counter or decline submitted offer. If in that review, I find my pricing is already LOW and outdated, I may then increase the price to bring more in line with other offerings. I spend a lot of time sourcing the best offerings, preparing the listings with images and clear descriptions, and price fairly in MOST cases. I remain grateful to all who consider my offerings, and I look forward to serving your needs respectfully and with success. I've packed books securely for 3 decades and will take great care with your order. This is not something in my control, nor do I handle that in any way.
