A scarce first edition in its own right, Silverstein had a long relationship with Hefner and Playboy Magazine, as starting in 1957, Silverstein became one of the leading cartoonists in Playboy, which sent him around the world to create an illustrated travel journal with reports from far-flung locales - in the 1950s and 1960s, he produced 23 installments called Shel Silverstein Visits... As a feature for Playboy. Playboy Magazine founder was an avid book and art collector and, and his library was loaded with items (like this) reflecting his passions.

Bound in the publisher's dark grey cloth covered boards, with gilt-stamped titles. In the white illustrated dust jacket , which is lightly rubbed and edgeworn, with a tiny hole in the front fold. This is a GORGEOUS copy!
