In good condition with flaws please see my photos late 1700s calling letter, Thomas Campbell poet Alexander Murray literary critic. Both mentioned were the further research. From what I can tell, there are handwritten notes by Alexander Murray in the upper left-hand corner, mentioning Thomas Campbell, who was one of his contemporaries at the university. When he was a professor both were professors Campbell, being the more famous poet, long poem appears to be written by Alexander Murray , and doing my research, I found that he was told not to publish the poem that he should wait until he matures in his writing. Alexander Murray was a famous linguist.
He was the son of a shepherd, but he had extremely poor eyesight, so in his youth, he gobbled up all the books he could, and read them , he was recognized by the university and excepted there and that's when he became a professor of linguistics and a famous one at that that's what I have so far I'm still digging I'm sure they'll be more.
