Haku Maki UU-2 and Poem-1 Beautiful 1996 Framed Prints

  

Artist: Haku Maki (1924 -2000). Wu Yi Ren Heng Xing means''I crawl like a crab'. Tretiaks database of Maki works. Maki in pencil, lower right hand margin with seals in print image. Image Size: UU-2: 5.75 W x 8.63 H.

Poem-1: 8.0 W x 8.0 H. Frame Size: 20.50 W x 16.0 H. Condition: Both prints show no evidence of toning, rips/tears, creases, water marks or any other type of damage (not viewed out of frame); Poem 1 exhibits a two pinpoint spots of foxing; Vintage wooden frame, with black fabric matting is in very good condition (no significant dings/dents) with just a couple areas needing touch-up paint.

NOTE: While it looks like there is yellowing of the prints, it is in fact from taking pictures and glass. The paper is cream colored with no issues. NOTE: Just an outstanding example of pairing two unusual prints, with identical subject matter (crabs on ceramic gui and tokkuri), into one framed print. Rarely seen (UU-2 not in Tretiaks database), the added fact that the top gui has a subtle dark red coloration to it makes the two prints together look simply gorgeous. Pictures dont do it justice.
