This amazing piece was made by Erwin Eisch a German born artist. Eisch co-taught a class in 1964 with Harvey Littleton at the university of Wisconsin in the art department.
At that time, he was exclusively working in glass. During this time, he went to enameling the exterior of the glass to strengthen the pieces and continued to do this technique. Eisch continued to work in glass but added other mediums later on. He passed away at the age of 94 in 2022. This vessel has an iridescent appearance. It has 2 dragonflies painted on each side and grass and small dot like flowers all around this piece. The color goes from pale iridescent at the top to a pink iridescent at the bottom (see photos). This piece is signed and dated (see photos). There are no chips or cracks. I do not know if this piece was meant to be a vase, or possibly a perfume bottle.
