"Book is in excellent condition" still has new smell to it even after 30 years and slipcover is very good condition. The clam shell display box shows some wear but overall no issues. The Clam Shell box seems to be a presentation box for displaying the open book, but not a container in which to transport the book. A RARE TREASURE AND A MUST HAVE ADDITION TO THE BOOK COLLECTION OF ANY ART LOVER.

This HC copy, signed by Earle, primarily consists of striking full color plates of Eyvind's images, with text on the facing page. This limited edition of 400 included 60 "Hors d'Commerce" copies, of which this book is number 38.

It was issued in padded black leather with gilt lettering on cover and spine with a matching slipcase and comes with the publisher's cardboard clamshell box with a front black and gold glossy printed label. This First Edition (first printing) book and slipcase in excellent.

A large heavy book approximately 10 x 13 x 2 inches. Earle was an American artist, author and illustrator, noted for his contribution to the background illustration and styling of Disney animated films in the 1950s. The serigraphs included in this book were created from paintings of the artist as well images created only as serigraphs by the artist himself. All 160 images are accompanied by Earle's poems and writings. In this important undertaking of the first major publication of the writings & graphic art of one of our century's greatest visualists, his genius illuminates the pages of this book with a mystical experience of dazzling colors and infinite spaces, illustrating in a striking manner, his ability to take us places we've never seen before.
