Author: De Campos, Augusto Title: LINGUAVIAGEM. Cubepoem Publication: Brighton: Brighton Poetry Festival, 1967 Edition: First edition. One of a limited edition of 100 copies. Four panel paper sculpture silkscreened on thick card stock in three colors.
Text in Portuguese and English. A concise but vast work of concrete poetry, which upon opening takes the form of a cube, with the bottom and top sides open. The title phrase is divided into panels of three letters - LIN / GUA / VIA / GEM - so that meaning of the text changes depending upon where the reader begins the voyage of the phrase. The work was issued in a miniscule edition of 100 copies for the Brighton Poetry Festival, which was curated by Stephen Bann.
Very good with bumps to corners, age toning and some very faint tidemarks to outward-facing panels, and some minor ink offset from silk screen process. Subject: Art, Poetry, Concrete Poetry.
