Ballads Robert Burns James Ballantine Robert Bell Samuel Butler Sir Walter Scott Lord Byron Charles Kingsley Edgar Allan Poe etc The books cover is green cloth boards with brown leather spine. With gold gilt title writing. The cover has some light surface shelf ware but is otherwise in good condition. The hinges, inner boards and endpapers are in good order. With frontispiece and tissue guard. The book is beauifully illustrated throughout with plates (see pictures). Gold gilt finish to outer page edges. There is the odd page with light scattering of fox spots but over all the pages and plates are in good condition. The last two pages have a small crease on the bottom corner.
