Excellent general monograph on Judeo-Spanish music and composition. The book starts it's pagination from the front of the book with a Hebrew introduction which extends up until page 56. There is a wealth of important information and historical background to the musical compositions, history, and developement of the Sefardic Romancero. Then starts the poems and musical compositions area, in Hebrew and translated beautifully into Spanish, side by side. That extends until page 253 (It includes 136 poems and musical compositions). 20 odd pages is an index, charts, and table of contents and then a most important introduction and General Monograph, completely in Spanish, of the subject, from page 285 until page 347 which at that point meets up with the rear Spanish title page. This includes some rare photographs of composers, and historical figures who played an instrumental role in the development of Spanish-Jewish music, including many women. This book is over-all in nice condition and the pages very clean and bright without any writing inside. It has a small area of staining at bottom hinge area on a few pages of the book and at inside cover hinge.
The pages are very clean and bright throughout and there is no writing whatsoever anywhere inside the book. Binding is firm and sound.
It comes with the very rare, colorful, dust cover, which is beautiful but has staining to spine and rear areas. Original covers and spine in excellent condition.
