I have here for sale a book entitled SELECTED POEMS OF ALGERNON CHARLES SWINBURNE With Illustrations and Decorations by Harry Clarke and an Introduction by Humbert Wolfe published by John Lane The Bodley Head Ltd. London; Dodd, Mead and Company, New York, in 1928.

The illustrations are tending to the hallucinogenic erotic and the publisher refused one of them - Clarke provided 12 plates but the publisher only put 11 of them into the book to avoid any problems with the Censor. Black cloth boards with a gilt illustration and gilt lettering on the front board and spine protected by a clear plastic wrapper.

Minor marks on the boards with some fraying to the top and bottom of the spine. All pages are firm and the book is in very good condition.

24 cm x 15.5 cm. We wrap and post the parcels on Monday and Tuesday - therefore if you pay before midday on Tuesday we will get it in the postal sacks on Tuesday night, and if it is after that time then it will go into the postal service on the following Monday.
