First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper. Overall Condition: Very Good Indeed. This book weighs 1 KG when packed. The first edition of this work.

In the original unclipped dustwapper. A collection of topographical poems looking at the beauty of Berkshire. With illustrations on each page. Illustrated by Cecil Aldin, a well loved British illustrator, who is best known for his depictions of rural life and animals. Bookplate to the verso of the front endpaper,'Samuel Gurney'.

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. A small amount of bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. A few minor marks to the boards and spine.

Dustwrapper with a large chip to the head of the rear wrap, and some smaller chips to the spine and to the joints of the wraps. Edgewear to the dustwrapper, resulting in some loss to the head and tail of the spine, and small closed ears. A few light marks to the dustwrapper. A little discolouration to the wraps. Bookplate to the verso of the front endpaper.

Pages are bright and clean. Overall Condition: Very Good Indeed Good. Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear.

Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy. Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones. Often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy. Some more serious faults as will. Be described in the condition report under'condition.

Good Only - Meaning one or more faults that could really do with repair. As with good only above but with other faults. Leaving a compromised copy even after repair.
