Edited, with an essay, Biographical and critical, and glossary, by the Hon. Vi, 7-344pp, plus a page of adverts (for the Canterbury Poets). Approximately 5 ½ inches tall. Spine - good condition - vellum, gilt titles on red label, gilt bands, gilt floral decoration. Boards - good condition - quarter vellum and red cloth boards with gilt lines, contained within a green card slip case, the case is worn along the edges. Page edges - good condition - top edge gilt, fore and bottom edges plain, there is some foxing along the bottom edge.Hinges - good condition - intact. Paste downs - good condition - plain.
End papers - good condition - plain, lightly tanned with some foxing. Title - good condition - lightly tanned with some foxing. Pages - good condition - b/w frontispiece'Spenser', text is clean and bright.
