1868 Vivien Alfred Tennyson GUSTAVE DORÉ Art Idylls of the King Arthur Guinevere. Vivien was one of the preeminent characters in Arthurian Legend, alongside figures such as Elaine, Enid, Guinevere, Sir Lancelot, Merlin, and King Arthur himself. She most prominently appears in Thomas Malory's " Death of Arthur " but also appears in Alfred Tennyson's " Idylls of the King ".
