A handsome eight-volume set, bound as four, being volumes I to VIII covering the period January 1854 to December 1857 Nos. Bound in half leather and marbled paper-covered boards, spines with four raised bands and gilt lettering on morocco labels. Externally, boards a little rubbed with some wear to extremities, bumping to corners. Vol 1 with significant loss to lowest compartment of spine leaving joints a little compromised, though boards still holding well. 4 with spine label and marbled paper on boards not quite uniform with the other three, lower half of upper joint split leaving board loosened but holding, lower board starting to pull away from text-block on weakened cords, visible at inner hinge.

Text-blocks of all volumes remain generally sound and firm, pages lightly age-toned with scattered minor blemishes, else generally clean and in good order throughout.
