The Sweet Little Girl That I Love. " A genuine Georgian print with the imprint at the bottom "Published 16th July 1794, by R. A delightful pastoral scene, with the text of a Ballad underneath. It was a favourite ballad of its time. The Library of Congress in America has a copy set to music by James Hook, published in 1796, and the National Library of Scotland illustrates an example taken from a large collection of such ballads.
VERY SCARCE in this Laurie and Whittle format. I could not find another such online. Condition: Signs of wear, especially in the text area with a little loss. Original handcolouring faint but present.
Framing details in pencil on the back. Overall in a very acceptable condition. Sent rolled in a tube. I have other antique prints, books, maps etc.
