16 POEMS IN VERSE AND WOOD (1965). Poetry by Bernard Bockes Wood Cut and Engraved by George Lockwood. Limited edition book, in slipcase, of poetry and original woodcuts and wood engravings on Venezia; signed by the artist and poet and numbered 93/150 in pencil on the colophon page.

Book measures 10 by 9 1/2 inches and includes a 45-RPM record of the poet reading his poems. Condition: Book covers have minor scuffing in a raking light; interior, near fine, save for some faint spotting (not foxing) on the reverse side of the front free endpaper, a tear (3/4 inch long) on one of the non-printed pages near the deckle edge and approximately half a dozen small, unobtrusive spots of foxing.

Slipcase has some scuffing, staining and bumped corners, with small paper loss associated with three of them. The record is in very good condition, with faint double-stamping of information on one side's label.

All told, splendid idiosyncratic prints accompanied by poems inspired by the art in a handsome book with slipcase.
