This listing is for an original and early Sister Mary Corita Kent colored screenprint/lithograph titled "Opposite Side, " quoting a poem by Juan Ramon Jimenez. Framed 35" wide x 17" high x 5/8 deep. Image Site: 29 3/4" wide x 11 1/4" high. Apologies for the reflections in the pictures. The printed translation of this poem on this piece reads.

Who knows what is on the opposite side of each hour! How many times has the dawn been behind a mountain!

How many times has the royal conflagration of a horizon held thunder in its golden heart! I thought a blossoming meadow was at the end of a road. And I discovered a morass. I dreamed of the glory of the human.

And found myself in the divine. It is hand signed in the lower right corner and the title of the piece in the lower left corner. Original frame is loose and will need tightening. Some scratches, marks, dings to the frame as well, no cracks or repairs.

Matting looks good overall with some light spots here and there, but nothing terrible. Original glass is in good condition with no chips or cracks. Some light discoloration and wear to the piece that is age appropriate. Otherwise it is in very good condition with strong vibrant colors.

Based on the style and content of this piece, I believe it was created in the early 1960's. Thanks for looking and have a great day!
