Charles Bukowski SPECIAL Crucifix in a Deathhand E of 26 with art & letter

  

PLEASE NOTE: Recently I listed THREE other special copies. This special copy is "E" of 26 lettered copies with both a letter and original Bukowski art.

So this is the forth and last of the very rare special copies of Crucifix I will be listing. I collected and saved them over 20 years. I felt I needed to list all so you can compare and decide which copy you prefer. If I listed one by one then another copy is listed you wanted more, you wouldn't be in a bind. This copy is wonderful on a couple of fronts.

You'll notice that at the bottom of the letter is a note from Francis. At that time she was four months pregnant. Did she rip the letter? Loujon Press published 3,100 copies of Crucifix so it one of the easiest regular standard Bukowski books to obtain but all the special copies with letters or artwork and different color covers combined totaled 78. Less than half of the Flower Fist printing.

Post Office with original art has 60 copies. So it is in an important and exclusive club of Bukowski rarities. Remember, this is not one of the 3,100 regular copies.

Jon Webb, the editor, publisher, printer wrote in ink the limitation and signed it. I should mention that this copy is also signed by Bukowski AND has the signed letter and the signed artwork. And notice it has a brief poem. The custom made clam box case was made by that master printer, binder, Bill Roberts. Because of current conditions this is offered exclusively to buyers and addresses in the United States.
