A very beautiful and rare book, no copies on abe books, second editions only. This is the first edition of 1900 in the magnificent original art nouveau binding which is different to the cheaper re-issue of 1907. Outside : Gilt decorated green cloth, light marks here and there, points a little rubbed.
Inside : no inscription, decorated end papers front and back, spots of foxing throughout and especially to the prelims and early pages, top edge gilt. Would make a wonderful present for the connoisseur in your life! Gorgeous book, packed with tissue guarded illustrations, heavy paper, generous margins, stylish and elegant.
